Brief info
Experience:
In 2017 Marisa started training in the women's class to help build confidence and understanding in BJJ. She quickly became proficient enough to start competing and teaching in the kid's classes. She now co-runs the Women's only class on Saturday mornings. *Refer to the bottom of the page for a list of her accomplishments in Jiu-jitsu tournaments.
Background:
Marisa grew up playing softball and waterpolo, winning MVP multiple times in high school. She's been married since 2007 to husband Jose, who also trains, and is an avid competitor. They have 6 kids, 5 of which train BJJ.
Hobbies:
Training with family, competing and teaching Jiu-jitsu. When not at the gym, she's probably camping or at the beach listening to country music.
